Oh sweet Mason. You have your mommy wrapped around your little finger! I am so grateful that I am the one that gets to hear your sweet giggles, receive your sweet hugs and kisses, and am the one that you call “mom.”

You are growing up so fast…can you slow it down just a bit?

It’s so hard to believe that he really is in school…and he is LOVING every single minute of it. He wakes up excited & ready to begin his day. We walk to school each morning & he already gives me hugs and kisses in the parking lot so no one sees. I thought that would start about second grade…not now! He would rather me just leave him there & him walk on his own to line up for school. But, I’m not ready for him to be quite that independent! 🙂

One of my favorite moments of each day is when the dismissal bell rings and he sees me as he’s leaving the classroom doors. He bolts after me and about knocks me over with his giant hugs. I hope that doesn’t end too soon! Those hugs are the best!

Mason is learning to write his name, improving using his left hand (being a lefty is hard work!), has worked on various colors and shapes, has started bringing books home to read nightly, is learning some sight words & he can proudly tell you want makes up a compound word! I am so amazed by all he is learning & am so grateful that he has such a wonderful teacher. (I went to Millikin with her & we were in the teaching program together. I love it that she gets to teach my little guy!)

Mason was all gung-ho for his back to school pictures. I had him write his name on the board (it’s a great way to remember how he wrote his name at the start of Kindergarten) and he was coming up with lots of poses! I totally have my mommy goggles on & can’t narrow down which ones to show…I think you need to see all of his cuteness!!

Isn’t he the world’s cutest little guy? I sure think so!!!
