Finley’s mommy, Valerie, contacted me about doing her photos for her upcoming birth. Of course I agreed!! Births are such an amazing thing to get to experience! Valerie is also a photographer in Monticello, IL (www.vwcphotography.com) and I was honored she chose me to cover the birth of her sweet boy! She’s going to be doing some family photos for me in the upcoming months…I’m already trying to start coordinating outfits in my head!
We knew Finley would be arriving via c-section, and I was so excited to get to be in on the surgery. The doctor was totally fine with it…but the nurses decided that they would rather not have an additional person in the room. So, I just hung out in the hallway & got all teary eyed when I heard his first cries from the hallway & when they played the lullaby announcing his arrival. There is just something so magical about a new life! I then followed Daddy & Finley into the nursery to start capturing lots of pics for Valerie!
