Welcome to the blog!  Here you'll learn more about me, my photography, my family & a little bit of everything in between!  Grab a cup of coffee (heavy with tasty cream because drinking it black is gross) and spend a little while getting to know me & my work more.

Cody & Sweed | Southern Illinois wedding photography

July 6, 2009

I have known Sweed (Alisa) for over 10 years.  She’s the little sister to Jessica, who is one of my best friends from college.  Jessica owns her own photography business (Jessica Hollis Photography) in Sesser, IL & Sweed is her assistant.  I was definitely a little more nervous about this wedding, because I knew Sweed had lots of ideas of things she wanted…and I wanted to do a great job for her!  It ended up being the hottest day of the year, but even through all of the sweat, I think we got some amazing photos!  (at some points, there were three of us taking photos of her!  I can’t imagine the amount of photos they are going to have to sift through to edit!)  Cody & Sweed opted to see each other before the wedding…and I LOVE it when couples decide to see each other before the ceremony!  It just takes away so many of their nerves & it gives us more time for photos!  They are such an adorable couple…they both could be models!  I am so honored that they entrusted me to their wedding photos & hope they love their sneak peek!  (I’m hoping to add some more later…but I have some more things to wrap up before heading for Florida on Wednesday!)

I’ll definitely be sharing some more photos from their wedding soon…they were too cute to not share! 🙂  Thanks Cody & Sweed for letting me be a part of your day!

Nice wedding details LOVE the shoes shot! Outside weddings are tough sometimes and it looks like you had some good light there!
