The wedding day started off with a morning spent at the salon.  Brittany was surrounded by so many family and friends and they spent the morning laughing & making sweet memories together before the craziness of the day began!

After everyone was ready, we went out to some property that Brittany’s family owned…so perfect for these photos!

Hello…gorgeous!!!These next few photos were taken in front of the home that used to belong to Brittany’s grandparents.  I love that they included somewhere special in their wedding photos!  Even though her grandparents have passed away, it was so sweet having something of them with us that day!The one below is my fave from their day!!  Gorgeous couple & gorgeous light…ahhhh….love it!After the ceremony, we stopped by Decatur’s Central Park for a few more photos…and it started to rain on us!  (which I think is probably the last time that it has rained this summer!)  They pushed through the rain drops and we grabbed a few quick photos.  As soon as we walked into the reception, it POURED!  We couldn’t have timed it more perfect!

Brittany & Caleb…thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding day photographer!  I am so excited for the two of you & for all of the crazy, wonderful changes the two of you are facing right now!  Enjoy your new home in Oklahoma!

How did the two of you meet?
We met on a high school trip to Europe.  Once we arrived back from the trip, we began dating and became high school sweethearts!
How did he propose…and what made you say yes?
Caleb and I traveled to St. Louis for a day.  After a full day of events he had planned we reached our final destination, the Union Station.  In the union station, we ventured to a beautiful room with tall ceilings and christmas decor everywhere that had a whispering arch in the door way.  Caleb stood at one side of the room facing the wall while I stood across the way facing the other wall.  When talking to the wall the sound would travel to the other person and that is how Caleb proposed….he professed his love via the whispering arch, I said yes to the wall & then turned around to find him down on his knee with the ring box glowing.  After the event, I turned to my left to find my sister and Caleb’s brother taking pictures and video of the entire event.  When we arrived home both of our families joined us to celebrate over dessert.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?

My favorite memory from our wedding day was the ceremony itself.  I enjoyed being able to make a life-long commitment with Caleb in front of those we love.  The vows that we made for a lifetime was a beautiful thing to me.

What was your favorite detail from your wedding day?
I LOVED all of the flowers that we had.  Everywhere you looked throughout the entire day, from the ceremony to the reception had flowers and I enjoyed the color and energy they brought to the room.
What was your something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue?
Something old: Around my bouquet I had a handkerchief that was made from my Grandmother’s wedding dress
Something new: My dress, shoes & jewelry
Any advice you would give to future brides and grooms?
To sum all of my thoughts up: Do what makes you two happy; It’s your day!
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
Nothing at all.  It was a gorgeous day, with a overflowing amount of love and support from our family and friends.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?  O’ahu, Hawaii….beautiful!
