Chad & Emily got married a couple of weeks ago in Mt. Pulaski & had their reception in Springfield. I met up with Chad & Emily a couple of days before their wedding & we came up with a great game plan to allow for some time in between the ceremony & reception for some location photos. I am so glad we budgeted in some time…because they ended up with some AMAZING portraits from their day! I asked Emily & Chad to answer a few questions from their day & they also listed the vendors that they used to make their day possible. I’m hoping to start doing wedding blog posts this way in the future. I want this blog to be a great resource for future brides & grooms in the Central Illinois area!

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day? The most memorable moment was when the church doors opened and I walked down the isle with my dad and I saw Chad for the first time that day. Then my my father and step-father gave me away. It was a very memorable moment.
Funniest memory from your wedding day? One of the funniest memories from the day was when I was taking pictures with my niece and nephew before the ceremony. I told them all to make mean faces and it was just so darn cute.
What was your favorite detail from your wedding day? I loved all of the details from my wedding but the elegance of the peacock feathers and the cobalt blue bridesmaid dresses went really well with my champagne colored dress.
Any advice you would give to future brides and grooms? My advice would be to enjoy every minute of the entire day. It goes by so quickly. Also be very organized in the planning. It helps in the end. (Emily was definitely my most organized bride I have ever had…it sure made my job much easier!!)
Would you change anything if you did it all over again? I would not change anything about the entire day. It was such a magical moment that I am going to cherish with my dearest family and friends.
Where did you go on your honeymoon? For our honeymoon we went to Secrets Maroma Beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico. I am a travel agent with Platinum Travel in Louisville, KY and knew that this resort was fantastic. Secrets Maroma is located on the best beach in the Yucatan. The resort and beach were beautiful and the staff and food were amazing. I could not have chosen a better place to spend 7 days in paradise.
