Abbie and the Lady Bearcats fought so hard tonight, but they fell to Webb City in the Final Four Championship Tournament. It was such a tough game and they fought with tons of heart, but even the best fall down sometimes. They play tomorrow in the third place game & I am hoping they can get another win to add to their amazing season. Tonight was the Bearcats first loss all season, so it was a toughie! It is hard to see your little sister look so sad and heartbroken after playing so hard. I couldn’t be more proud & amazed by her! I am just hoping some great school snaps her up after next season so I can watch her play some college ball!
Abs…I know tonight did not end how you were hoping…but know that I am so incredibly amazed by you. You have a HUGE heart & have such a talent for playing basketball. I wish I could say that it was me that taught you the game…but we all know that’s not true! 🙂 I remember Kristen trying to teach me how to shoot a basketball when I was in high school & it was a lost cause! You have such a God-given ability & I am so proud of your character while you are on the court. After your game tonight, Millie said she was going to play basketball when she got bigger. I am so thankful that my kids have such a great role model in you! I can’t wait to cheer you on next year for your senior season…and can’t wait to see what all God has in store for you. Thank you for being the best little sister a girl could ever ask for! I love you bunches! Congrats Lady Bearcats on an amazing season! I can’t wait to go and cheer for you tomorrow!!!
Here’s a few pics from tonight:
Oliver and Harley were sportin’ some sweet painted faces…
Abbie was getting some consoling after being called for two stupid fouls. (and they really were bad calls….I’m not trying to blame the refs. But, as little as I know about the technicals of basketball, I know that those were terrible calls!)
Congrats again on an AMAZING season!!
