We met the Shofner family about four and a half years ago. Cydney’s mommy (Charity)’s water broke at 19 weeks and the doctors thought Cydney would never survive…but Charity was out to prove them wrong! She hung on until 27 weeks until she delivered Cydney. (Cydney was born the day before Mason & Miles). Our paths crossed in the NICU & we spent every day together at Carle hospital. We shared many laughs, tears, and a few Illini games during our time at the hospital. Cydney & Miles’ beds were right next to each other…so they were with us during our journey with Miles. Cydney went home from the hospital the day after Miles passed away…so we were basically always together! Cydney is a super smart, super sweet, adorable little girl who is such a little miracle! She is so cute & says that she is going to be a baby doctor when she grows up…I believe it!
Thanks Josh, Charity, and Cydney for giving me the honor of photographing your family. I am so grateful God placed you into our lives!
