We are thick in the middle of wedding season & I had the opportunity to photograph Joe & Sarah’s wedding on July 3rd here in Decatur. They got married at St. Patrick’s church & had the reception at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel. It was such a perfect day!
Sarah’s parents are no longer living, but she included them in such amazing ways on the day of her wedding. They got married on her parents anniversary in the church where her parents were married. She included a table for them at the reception and had it decorated so beautifully…and it even had napkins from their wedding that she found when going through boxes. She laid roses for them in their seats and had a beautiful floral arrangement for them. My mother passed away when I was 14 and I know how hard it was not too have my mom with me on my wedding day…I wish I would’ve thought of more creative ways like Sarah did to include her!
July third also had another significance for them…it was Joe’s birthday! Sarah surprised him with a Ford F-350 limo & a St Louis Cardinals cake.
It was such a sweet, wonderful day & I am so grateful I was able to be a part of it! Here’s a few (well…more than a few!) photos from their day:
(Isn’t the photo in front of the Twilight poster funny? They even stood on the sides of the poster based on if they are Team Edward or Team Jacob! Made me giggle!!)
