Jennifer & John | Decatur, IL Wedding Photographer

I photographed Jennifer & John’s wedding the first weekend in November. We were greeted with beautiful, sunny skies…but it was freezing outside! The joys of November in Central Illinois…70 one day, 30 the next!

Jennifer & John opted to do a first look & we were able to the majority of their photos before the wedding. It just makes the rest of the day go so much smoother & takes the stress away from having to do all of the family photos after the wedding! They chose such a gorgeous church to get married in & it was just filled with yummy, natural light. (Future brides…definitely check out their church!!) The ceremony was beautiful & intimate & truly spoke to their relationship. After their ceremony, we only had a limited amount of time for photos before they needed to be at their reception site. So, we chose a location that was close to their reception venue. Even though it was so chilly, I’m glad they stuck with me for a bit! Their photos are beautiful! I also hauled a couch with me for their wedding day & I’m so grateful that the groomsmen helped carry it around so we could get the beautiful photo of Jennifer & John on my red couch! 🙂 Thanks guys!!! Also, a HUGE thank you to Jenny for coming up from the St. Louis area to photograph the wedding with me! She did such an amazing job!

What will you remember the most from your wedding day?  Walking down the aisle

Funniest memory from your wedding day?  Cutting the cake- breaking the utensils because we did not know the bottom layer was fake!!

What was your favorite detail from your wedding day? our first dance- we took ballroom dancing lessons

Any advice you would give to future brides and grooms?  dont focus on what goes wrong- no one notices but you

Would you change anything if you did it all over again?  not to focus on what goes wrong!! lol

Where did you go on your honeymoon?    Sandals Regency in St Lucia
