For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul. -Judy Garland

I first met Kelly when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding in the fall of 2010.  I just adored that whole wedding party & was thrilled when she contacted me after she got engaged.  I knew that this was going to be another wonderful wedding!  I also photographed her cousin’s wedding a few weeks before her wedding & got to spend some time with her at the reception.  It’s been such a blessing to get to know my brides & see them at different events!

The wedding day began with getting ready at Four Square Church in Decatur, IL.  (Hey, that’s my former bride, Lindsey, doing her makeup!)

After everyone was ready, we loaded up and headed to Forsyth Park for their first look.  I know Jared’s hard was beating rapidly as he waited to see his bride.  Kelly was BEAMING when she saw her man!

First LookAfter we finished up the first look (we moved quickly…it was FREEZING!), we headed back to the church to get ready for the ceremony.  This daddy loves his daughter. A lot. (She sure loves him, too!)We then braved the cold temps to grab a few more photos during the yummy, evening light before heading to the reception.Hello, handsome!Kelly, you are ridiculously gorgeous!!This image below is my fave!  I want to print it as a huge canvas. HUGE!The reception was held at the new Mt. Zion Convention Center.  It was the first time I had been there & I was very impressed with the large room!  Such a great addition to the Decatur area for a wedding venue!
