To say that I love Jami & Zach is an understatement.  Jami emailed me when she began wedding planning and was so sweet & told me how much she loved my work.  I was thrilled to be chosen to be the one to photograph these two.  Zach is head over heels for Jami.  He posts the absolute sweetest messages on Facebook about his beautiful bride…he is definitely smitten.  I hadn’t met the couple until the wedding day, but I already felt like I knew them through our interactions online & knew that it was going to be a perfect day.  They had planned the wedding on Jami’s family farm & created benches into the hillside for the outdoor ceremony.  Unfortunately, it ended up being a 90% chance of rain that day so they opted to move the ceremony inside a tent.  A lot of brides would be devastated to have to let go of all of that hard work, but Jami just let it roll off her back.  I think the secret is that Jami & Zach were more focused on the marriage than on the wedding day itself.  It was a minor detail that wasn’t going to stand in the way of their happily ever after.  One of my favorite moments of the day was when Jami & Zach opted to exchange gifts and pray with each other before the ceremony but still chose to not see each other.  I think it was super hard on them to not just peek around the corner & they have stronger wills than I would have at that moment!  It’s an incredible thing to be invited into these private moments & to just witness the power of their love & the faith that they share.  I walked away with tears in my eyes and just felt incredibly thankful that I get to do this week after week.  It’s truly an honor that’s not lost on me.  The wedding ceremony was so heartfelt and included speeches by the fathers & a couple of family members.  It’s evident that these two have family that completely support them & stand behind them 100%.  After the ceremony was over and they walked down the aisle, Zach & Jami embraced in the biggest hug, shared a kiss, and then Zach and to bend over to catch his breath because the “We are really married” moment hit him! The rest of the evening was spent enjoying family and friends, eating pie, standing under a slight rainbow, dancing with loved ones, and starting their futures together.  Zach & Jami, thank you so much for being you.  The two of you have something truly incredible that you share between you.  I’m excited to see the big things that God has in store for you in the future!
