I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Chris & Andrea’s wedding last weekend in Alton, IL. I grew up in Bethalto (right next to Alton), so it’s always a special treat to get to go to my hometown area!
Chris & Andrea’s day started off really rainy! We arrived at the College Avenue Presbyterian Church and were greeted with a lovely downpour! So, we obviously opted to do photos indoors and then crossed our fingers that it would stop raining after the ceremony was over. And…we got lucky! The sun came out mid ceremony & we were able to go to Gordon Moore Park after the ceremony was over for a few outdoor pictures. In the middle of the outdoor pics, we looked up and saw some of the darkest, scariest clouds, so we snapped pictures as fast as our fingers could press the camera shutter & then headed over to the Holiday Inn for the reception. I couldn’t get over how nice the Holiday Inn treated the wedding guests…and the food was absolutely amazing! It was such a fabulous day…and I am so glad I got to be a part of it!
